Teaching Pilates requires more than memorizing the order
NOT A CERTIFICATION MILL
Contrology Therapy is a training ground for apprentices who want to teach with clarity, presence, and command of the Classical system. You will learn to see the body in front of you, assess what is needed, problem-solve in real time, and guide clients with precision without diluting the method. By the time you finish, you are not only certified. You are prepared.

A classical lineage, carried with care
Michelle N. Leach
Michelle N. Leach has practiced classical Pilates for more than two decades. She studied under best selling author Brooke Siler, each part of the Romana Kryzanowska classical lineage tracing back to Joseph Pilates. As the founder of No Excuses Pilates in Atlantic Station, Atlanta, Michelle now mentors a new cohort of classical teachers each year through Contrology Therapy. Her commitment is to the method, to the apprentice, and to the craft of teaching well.
WHAT SETS THIS APPRENTICESHIP APART
1
SMALL COHORT. Intentionally.
Each cohort is kept intentionally small. This is not a marketing choice. It is structural. Smaller cohorts allow for more attention, more hands-on correction, and more mentorship time with Michelle. The work demands that level of care.
2
Real clients, real-time teaching.
Apprentices work with actual clients under direct supervision throughout the program. By the time you graduate, you have taught real bodies, not only practiced with other apprentices in a classroom. Confidence is built through supervised experience, not theory alone.
3
A mentorship, not a course.
Each apprentice receives monthly private sessions with Michelle throughout the nine-month cohort, along with group apprentice classes for review, practice, and questions. That layered support is built into the program alongside training weekends, observation, self-practice, and supervised teaching.
A SMALL COHORT.
SELECTED WITH CARE.
THE NEXT COHORT BEGINS OCTOBER 2026
Acceptance into Contrology Therapy begins with an application and a conversation with Michelle. This program is for serious practitioners who are ready to study the Classical system deeply and learn to teach with care, confidence, and command.
